"Mantua Youth on the Move" Summer Program
Dates: July 8 - August 9, 2002
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-2pm
After School Program
Dates: September 30 - June 21, 2003
Hours: Monday - Friday 3-6 pm
Provides: academic assistance, computer technology, enrichment and physical activity.
Parent Education
This program provides an array of educational and support services aimed at parents or primary caregivers; designed to promote childrenšs well-being and safety through increasing the strength and stability of families and increasing parental confidence and competence.
Activities include:
- Parent support/Education Groups
- Parent/child interaction activities
- Cultural and recreational activities for families
- Stress Management and life skills classes
- Public awareness workshops and events
Hours:
Birth to 5 age group: Mondays 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Parent Support Group: Wednesdays 5-7 pm
Seniors Program
This program is designed for males and females 45 yrs and older with the goal of promoting creative and social interactions, linking seniors and caregivers to information and resources pertinent to supporting adult children and grandchildren.
Dates: July - June 2003 2 sessions per month.
Positive Youth Development / Rites of Passage
PYD activities are designed to develop leadership skills, enhance self-esteem, provide learning opportunities and promote positive social behavior for children and youth. Activities also include participation in the Mural Arts program, which is a citywide public art program that designs and creates murals of enduring value while actively engaging youth in the process.
Dates: Beginning September 2002
Hours: Tuesdays/Thursdays 3 - 5 pm and 1 Saturday per month

Case Management
Case managers connect clients to community resources such as medical, mental health, education/training/employment, financial, housing and recreation.

Information, Referral / Linkage
The Mantua Family center provides information and referrals for an array of services i.e. emergency food, clothing, medical, furniture, and housing/shelter.
